Triangle engineers have recently been trained in contact butt fusion using the widos cnc butt fusion machine, the gawaplast sg160 machine, and electrofusion using the proxima centaur e/f machine. The instruction was given under the guidance of the current DVS welding standards.
There has been an increase in demand for dry riser mains to be installed underground from inlet point to riser. Heavy weight galvanised pipe and Victaulic joints are not suitable for underground installations, following this training Triangle are now able to use polythene pipe with electrofusion connections as an alternative.
The first installation has just been completed. Pipework has been backfilled to 900mm. See photos below.
